Murata 450 kHz filter from Mouser 7 Months ago Karma: 6
Hi everyone!

I was ordering parts from Mouser today and I
noticed they currently have in stock 450 kHz
ceramic filters.

Those who want to modify their radios might be
interested in CFWL450KHFA filter (the Mouser
part# "81-CFWLA450KHFA-M0". According to Murata's
data sheet it is a new version of the older CFWS450HT
(the same pinout, etc.).

From the data sheet:

centre frequency: 450 kHz
-6 dB bandwidth: +/- 3 kHz (it means 6 kHz bandwidth)
-50 dB bandwidth: +/- 9 kHz (it means shape factor 1:3)
attenuation at +/- 100kHz: 60 dB (quite good)
impedance: 2 kohm (standard imedance of IF filters in most radios)

The funny thing is that this filter doesn't show
on Mouser's web site if someone tried to search for
450 kHz filters because... it has been described
as 455 kHz filter.

Anyways, either the description on the Mouser's site
is incorrect or I am making mistake ordering a couple
of those filters. I'll see when I receive the filters...

BTW, they also have 4 kHz-wide 455 kHz ceramic filters.
The part number is CFWLA455KJFA. It can be used in
radios with IF of 455 kHz.

Cheers!
Peter
