In light of the colorful and dazzling beams of the funny and best laser pointers, here I’d say it’s not only advisable as pet toys but also can serve as a foil to romance between the loving couples.

Admittedly, laser pointers provided by EDITED OUT! dealers . Some offer a selection of designs for the laser beam to project，to provide variety and perk up the cats, especially when they feel boring.

Anyway, I’d say the funny laser pointers will definitely bring you loving couples unexpected surprise and believe it or not, it deserves a try, but take care!

I recall the 380 (I shortly held one in my hands, but wasn't mine to keep), and I believe you're right about the bandwidth, it's missing the 5. It will be a good feature however. I recall a McMurdo radio from the 30's had 4 bandwidth selections. Have you had a chance to give the MW a good run? Another radio to compare it to possibly would be the Eton E100. If it's better than that, then you have a good radio. An older set that I notice no one mentions is the Toshiba RP-F11. I believe it's AM pulls better than the E100. The other thing I recall about the 380, is that it's build quality pretty much matches those earlier Japanese Sony / Toshiba / Sharp radios from the mid-80's. Yes, Sharp had a nice one too.

Hi Harold

I debated the same as you and for the same reasons between the 310 and 380. I finally ordered the 380, allthough probably 80% of my listening is to MW. I also looked at the 360 and thought I saw a picture some place that shows it with a little plug in ferrite on top?
Elsewhere in DXer.CA I just read a head to head with these radios and they reported the 360 haveing the most recieved MW stations then the 310 followed by the 380. So not sure if it's a s much differance as some review's indicate as the differances seemed small in this shootout.
I was playing with my Son's G8 the other night and was quit surprised by the MW stations I recieved compared to my G3 as well as the quality of the reception, and the G8 has been reported to have terriable MW reception. Guess we will have to see as these are all new radios. I will post after I play with the 380 for a bit.

This made me laugh. Yesterday morning at 530am I was outside having a coffee watching the sun come up and listening to Radio Australia. Then when I moved to MV to my surprised I picked up CHMB 1320am from Vancouver a station I worked at about 11 years ago. It's funny that i should pick up a Chinese station living in Taipei, but coming from Canada. LOL

A few weeks ago I heard Radio Ronin Shortwave on 6925, and when I emailed him a reception report at the email address he gave on the air, he sent me a nice QSL card. I've heard a couple of other "unofficial" broadcasters thereabouts too in recent weeks, although no IDs on them.

One of the things about looking for these stations is that they don't broadcast on fixed schedules and they often don't stay on for very long - ten, fifteen, twenty minutes or so. So you need to be patient and hang around their usual frequencies to see if one shows up.

PCJ Media is pleased to announce that beginning September 4th, 2010 Classic Media Network will air PCJ Radio’s online stream and over our various FM and AM relays.
What is Media Network? On Thursday 7th May 1981, the first edition of Media Network was broadcast by Radio Netherlands. It was a “communications” magazine designed to reflect the world of broadcasting, giving listeners an insight into why and how the business was evolving. This weekly show ran for almost 20 years and over 1000 editions. It was hosted by Jonathan Marks, who was to become Head of the English Language Department, then Director of Programmes and finally Creative Director at Radio Netherlands. Jonathan left the organization in 2003 to set up a media consultancy, Critical Distance.

Media Network was a pioneer in the use of electronic communications. There were early experiments with computer bulletin boards in the late 1980’s. As e-mail began to evolve, Media Network encouraged listeners to use its e-mail box in 1991 as “another way” to send timely material to the show. Programme previews were also important in an era when it was difficult to get topical information to listeners outside The Netherlands. By 1994 the programme had set up one of the first broadcast websites in the Netherlands, posting the text from some of the booklets sent out to listeners on request, such as the Receiver Shopping List and the Booklist. When Andy Sennitt, who had been a contributor to Media Network in his role as editor of the World Radio TV Handbook, came to work full time at Radio Netherlands, the Internet site was expanded into what we called a Webzine. The radio show ended in October 2000, and in spring 2003, as war broke out in Iraq, we needed a way to post the latest media developments. So the Media Network Weblog was established, and it expanded into a general newsfeed of media developments around the world. (source Radio Netherlands Worldwide)

To kick off the launch of Classic Media Network on PCJ Radio the first program to air will be Wartime Deception. But if you think it will be nothing more than a bunch of classic shows your very much mistaken. Jonathan will also be doing some new programs as well.

For more information on Media Network visit Jonathan’s website at: http://www.xs4all.nl/~jmarks/index.html
